Hi, I’m Miriam – Founder of WonTime.

WonTime is here to help you achieve your goals with focus and ease, balancing ambition and well-being.

Based in Copenhagen WonTime offers weekly Focus Sessions, online and offline workshops for PhDs as well as coaching - all around the topic of time management and sustainable productivity.

By understanding how to manage your time, energy, and attention, you’ll discover a way of working that’s more fulfilling, impactful, and sustainable—for yourself and those around you.

My Journey to Stress-Free Productivity

It’s impossible not to manage time. Whatever you do, you spend it - it’s just that much of it is spent unconsciously. For a long time, I got by just fine this way: finishing high school, earning a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in management and engineering. It didn’t feel easy – but it worked.

When I started my doctoral studies at the University of Copenhagen and Ghent University, I thought I had to give all I have – again plus a little extra – it was a doctoral degree afterall.

All my time. All my energy. All my brain capacity.

However, I soon realised that my “somewhat and somehow” approach towards spending time wasn’t working anymore. My default answer to getting more done was to spend more time working: maybe a Saturday here, an evening there.

After all, I was working toward my dream—a doctoral degree—and overworking felt normal, even expected.

There’s a pervasive narrative that PhD students need to be “all in”—all their time, all their energy. For a while, I believed it.

I dismissed phrases like “work smart, not hard” as nonsense.

How could working differently possibly make a difference when I was already giving so much? But something inside me wanted to try.

So, I began learning about time management. I read books, took courses, and applied what I learned. Slowly but surely, the pressure eased. I felt in control, confident I was doing enough of the right things.

Time management didn’t just help me get things done—it felt liberating.

By the time I finished my PhD, people would say, “How come you’re not stressed?”

I wasn’t—because I’d made stress the exception, not the rule. I handed in my thesis without the cloud of anxiety hanging over me.

“How come you’re not stressed?”

It was sentences like those that sparked the idea in me to found WonTime - to help others avoid the same trap.

The Bridge Between a PhD and Starting a Business

When I started my company, I faced the same narratives: “Starting a business is hard. You need to work a lot.” But this time, I came prepared. I saw parallels between a PhD and building a business: both are long-term projects with uncertain outcomes, requiring self-structure, and resilience.

That is how Wontime became another testing ground for my strategies, my opportunity to see Time Management from a different angle.

And again, it proved it’s worth: I love what I am doing. I can see how I progress. I find a balance between long- and short-term goals for my company and for myself as a person.

WonTime – WonMission - helping you achieve your goals with focus and ease, balancing ambition and well-being.

Wontime empowers you to succeed by helping you:

  • Spend your time meaningfully and efficiently, in both your personal and professional life.

  • Understand your habits, take responsibility, and create lasting change.

  • Focus on the work you love, while balancing your commitments with clarity and confidence.

Problems Many of Us Face

  • Saying “yes” to everything, then struggling to manage it all.

  • Working long hours, believing it’s the only way to prove our worth.

  • Responding to emails within minutes, only to lose focus on what really matters.

These behaviours feel productive but often leave us overwhelmed and unfulfilled. At Wontime, we help you shift from overworking to intentional working.

A Better Way Forward

The key to success isn’t just working harder or longer. It’s:

  • Recognising the behaviours and beliefs that hold you back,

  • Prioritising the tasks that truly move you forward, and

  • Creating space to focus on the work that brings you joy and value.

By understanding how to manage your time, energy, and attention, you’ll discover a way of working that’s more fulfilling, impactful, and sustainable—for yourself and those around you.

Ready to explore your own productivity?

You’ve come a long way in your journey, and you want to go further. But getting to where you are now has felt heavy at times. You’ve put in immense effort, yet you know the way forward isn’t simply working harder and longer.

Now - If you envision your most successful self, what do you see?

Someone completely overworked, sacrificing evenings, weekends, and their private life? Or someone relaxed, creative, and content?

If it’s the latter, WonTime can help.

Take the first step toward stress-free productivity today.

I don’t believe in the ‘either-or’ mentality: either being successful at work and overworked, or having a fulfilling private life and feeling at ease. Why not both?

Having many ideas should feel like a gift - not a burden. Having many interests should spark joy - not overwhelm.
